Your comparison is ridiculous. By your logic the staff should feel lucky to even work at BYU and humbly submit to whatever measly dollars the AD staff offer. Coaching football isn’t an ecclesiastical office….it’s a job. Working for BYU is a job, not a calling. The bureaucracy at BYU is not the Church.
Sitake should negotiate for everything he needs to succeed in his job because he will surely be fired, not excommunicated if he isn’t successful.
