Not specific to USF, just west coast sports fans in general.
And yes large fan bases often equate to passionate fan bases, but USC had very few fans show up to our game in football this year and they have a pretty big fan base.

There was less than 1,000 fans at each of those games? I doubt it. Their arenas are just significantly bigger.
