I ended up leaving sales to pursue an MBA for that reason. I think a couple
ways sales people handle burn out is to change jobs every couple of years or get into management where the monthly or quarterly roller coaster and pressure of hitting a personal quota aren’t as severe.
I got sick of it and needed to get out.
