Covid part 2.
I got Covid on thanksgiving 2020. Despite warnings to not gather at that time, we went ahead and got together.

Everyone at that dinner (18 total) got Covid except my college-age daughter, who had Covid a few months earlier.

Typical symptoms - fever for a day or two, dry cough, loss taste/smell, fatigue and aches. My 83 year old dad had it the worst - a lingering cough for about two weeks. Everyone else was relatively quick and painless.

I was vaccinated April 2021, and boosted in October.

Fast forward to this week. Last Sunday I had a sore throat on the evening. Woke up the next morning with a little congestion and a slight cough. That lasted through Tuesday. No fevers, no aches, no fatigue. I worked from home without any impact.

On Friday night, I flew to Philadelphia for a funeral…. My inlaws had us take at-home Covid tests before getting together for a dinner Saturday night…. I came back positive - wife and daughter came back negative.

Surprised how little impact this omicron variant (I guess I’m assuming that’s what I got). Maybe the vaccination should get some credit for making this case relatively light… very little impact.

Mid forties, a few pounds to lose… otherwise healthy.
