There’s still no communication with Vava’u and Niua. We heard boats have gone in
with supplies from NZ and Asussie but still no phone or internet communication. My SILs sister owns stores in Neiafu and Niuatoputapu. We aren't sure where she is and haven't heard from anyone on those islands.
I agree that those northern islands are probably less affected by the tsunami but not having any word yet is frustrating.
