but we have been told for years he is going to be an all-time great at BYU. Half of CB even predicted in fall camp that he would be the starter. So to watch him struggle to move the ball on a defense that was statistically almost identical to BYU's (and all the Tuiaki haters have let us know just how bad that was), was very disheartening. He threw for 45 yards in a half and he did it with arguably the deepest receiving core in the history of the program. He also had a top 3 running back in program history in the backfield for the defense to focus on.
In his defense that was probably his first week of getting starting practice reps and they were probably limited because he was backup. So I sincerely hope that he turns out to be an all-time great but at this point I'm not getting my hopes up.
