some more, but the salesman claimed they couldn't go any lower because Costco audits the sales and frowns on any variance from their price, either up or down. I didn't believe the guy, but he stuck to his story. He did eventually agree to give me a gift card for accessories at the dealer which, combined with the 50% off coupon from Costco, paid for a bunch of extras that I wanted (roof rails and cross bars, trailer hitch).

Note, this was in 2020 before car market went nuts.
