- yes, he had success at USC as an assistant but that only makes my case that that is where he should be… namely an assistant

- Bag on Oakland and Al Davis all you want but I lived in the Bay Area while that went down and almost everyone agreed he was a disaster. What you neglect to mention is he was let go for conduct detrimental to the team and denied the rest of his pay. That case went to arbitration and they sided with the Raiders and Davis. Tom Cable who is a stand up guy said Kiffin was so dishonest that he hoped he never ran into him again or it might get physical.

- at Tennessee he got in trouble for breaking SEC rules and was forced to issue a public apology and later got into trouble for telling a kid who later was a second round draft pick that if he didn’t sign with Tennessee he would be pumping gas the rest of his life. All of this before he bailed on Tennessee after just one year pissing off that entire fan base, I believe even causing riots on campus. Mind you both of these jobs paid him north of 2 million a year!

- At USC he drove away a wave of players who didn’t want to be there with him and then once he finally became a voting member in the coaches poll he voted USC number 1 and took tons of heat for it, he then decided to lie about it and claim that he had not voted USC #1 and basically forced USA Today to come clean and reveal that he in fact did vote USC #1. All of that before tanking the program in 2012 where they were pre season ranked number 1 and finished the season unranked at 7-6. First time in like 60 years a preseason #1 finished unranked. Finally the following year he was fired at the airport mid season after fans demanded he be let go.

- Did fine at Alabama but again not as a head coach.

- Had some success with the Owls but come on, dude was head coach of an NFL Team and big college program and winds up coaching the Owls!

- There are already rumors he could soon bail on Ole Miss for an NFL job now.

I stand by my assessment. The dude is a bad apple and shouldn’t be trusted to lead any big time program.
