My wife goes on "writer retreats" and to the occassional author convention with
her friends. She justifies it as a counter to all the sporting events (i.e. BYU football and basketball games) that I attend. If I do go on any "guy trips" then it's usually centered around something like going to a BYU bowl game or something like that.
