My wife
called me at 9pm last week and I was like, what's all that background noise?

She was like, it's just the traffic going by. I said what? She said, I shredded the tire on I-15 so I just pulled over to change it (on the shoulder of i-15).

I was like, what!? Get back in the car and either wait for me or call for roadside assistance.

She was all, nah, it's fine I'm already doing it, it's fine. I drove there anyway (it was near the exit by our house, but i had to flip a u at the exit after ours) and by the time I got there she was already done.

I was freaked and she was fine. Her mom and dad definitely raised her to be self-reliant. And it's just deeply embedded in her DNA in my opinion. After lecturing her, she said fine, I'll call next time, okay?

I'm so used to my wife now that when I'm around other people's wife's, I can't believe how helpless some of them seem. She looks like a cute, delicate type but certainly doesn't act like it.
