Lincoln Riley isn’t not trying to keep him but he thinks he’s going to get his starter from Oklahoma that has a year in his system and is a potential #1 pick. IMO Dart is a more talented player but not by much. Caleb Williams is the real deal and has already shown he can run LR’s system. Even with that experience, lots of experts think he is making a mistake trying to get Williams over Dart.
I don’t think he will start over Hall because Hall is a potential first rounder in his own right and has 4 years in the system and has more chemistry with his receivers. But I also think if he gets hurt, Dart may not give the job back.
Given his transfer rating, Dart would be the highest rated recruit in BYU history. He’s also proven he is tough as nails, was one of the leaders of the USC offense as a true freshman, has a better arm than almost anyone in the nation, and has a Zach Wilson-like work ethic.
