Future of the Utah/BYU rivalry?
I am interested in your honest (non-cynical) thoughts about the future of Utah/BYU football games.
My feelings:
I don't think we should play every season. Both schools will have tough conference schedules. The focus of both teams needs to be their conference games. I think they should play once every five years or so. It would be a huge event. I would prefer it be the last game of the season when we do play. It would be less of a distraction.
Also, I am not a fan of the vitriol between the two schools. I am a diehard Utah fan, but I have too many family and friends including my wife who attended BYU or are diehard BYU fans. Sometimes the hate goes too far. It really bothers me.

BYU is a National Brand. I think we shouldn’t schedule regional schools as (JohnnyC, Jan 25, 2022 at 6:39pm)

it will be harder to get done and with both schools being in a P5 conference it is even more unlikely......
