Live in cities where the cost of living has gone bananas. Many people are now paying half of their income just to rent. When you are working at a place and can't save any money, it doesn't make a lot of sense to stay at the place.

Many of them move home. The parents don't mind because most kids are willing to pay a quarter of what they were paying before to their parents and that likely covers their entire mortgage.
