next to a group of about 5 girls who were 13/14 years old. One of the girls was casually talking about a boy from their school (and some girl he apparently likes) in some of the most obscene, profane hateful language I’ve ever heard. Completely mocking and racist (I know this word is meaningless, but trust me) towards a boy that she obviously thought was well beneath her and friends. I’d be banned from CB for life if I even repeated half of what I heard.

All this just to say I’m terrified of my kids getting to middle school age. I’ve worked a lot with older teens and young kids, but those 11-14 years scare the crap out of me as a parent.
