My “stance” is the only realistic option at this point. What more could they have done beyond test, vaxx, and quarantine
Do you want them to remain 100% isolated forever? Nobody allowed to enter the island, ever?
And for everywhere else that already has it, if these controls didn’t keep it out of Kiribati how on earth can we ever hope to put the cat back in the bag where it’s already spread?

Tested 3 times, vaccinated, and quarantined all of them yet it STILL got in. Time to learn to live with it
