that, I still don't recommend it. It is WAAAY more expensive that I anticipated. Fuel, storage, insurance, repairs, campsites, etc.
Do you even know how much a basic campsite is? Do you know your tow fuel range? Do you know how to winterize and prep for the season in the spring? How are you with repairs, because I promise you the faucet will break, the water pump will need to be replaced. You will add another battery and maybe solar. Do you have a generator? Do you feel comfortable backing a trailer? How are you with leveling & setup? I could go on... you get the point.
BUT... I do have countless memories and many, many great trips. I've taken it thousands and thousands of miles all cross the western US and Canada. It has brought me and my family many many smiles. Just know going in that whatever you 'think' it will cost... it will be considerably more.
The frustration with campsite reservations, expensive fuel, setup/breakdown led me to spend even MORE money on a nice piece of lakefront land that it sits on now.
