even include live ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNEWS, ESPNU, SEC Network, ACC Network, etc.
Everyone I know, who has said they want a la carte, means they basically want cable tv channels for next to free.
Of course there will likely be a day when ESPN is no longer on cable tv, as we know it. However, the cost isn’t going down.
Disney needs to see what’s happening with Netflix, and what I’ve been saying for a long time. If you make it so easy to let your product be consumed for free, it will later come back to bite you in the rear end.
Pretty much most of my immediate family members use my parents’ cable credentials to watch content. Heck, even my in laws use all sorts of different people’s credentials to watch content and they’re not hurting financially by any stretch.
Does Disney and other networks have a plan for when the cable subs cease? Is it going to be like Netflix, where 2/3 of the viewers are making up 100% of the revenue?
