We staked out a spot early. A lady came up and asked if her handicapped daughter could sit with us to see the parade from her wheelchair. We said agreed, but a a young family came up at the last minute and stood their kids right in front of the other girl. Then we got involved in getting space for someone else's kid who also came later . . .
