Yeah, nobody in Houston cares much for them
When they had a top 20 team a few years ago, they couldn't even fill up their brand new stadium. It's a commuter school. UH is going to play second fiddle to many bigger name programs in the state for a long time. I did grad school in Houston with lots of UH grads and none of them cared about their football team

Yeah they are in the top recruiting ground in the country but still behind Texas and A&M, LSU and Bama there.
