Obviously male coaches can be super successful recruiting and coaching female athletes (see Geno Auriemma at UCONN). But Geno seems to be the exception to the rule. Most successful women's basketball coaches are female, and I don't think that's coincidence.
Thought experiment: Every NBA team fires their male head coaches and replaces them with female head coaches. Do you see any potential problems that might arise? Are the problems significant enough that maybe you decide it's not a good idea?
