Watched my neighbor throw a fit and smash his Ryobi trimmer and throw it in
the garbage. He bought it last year and I guess this year the head wouldn’t feed right. He would have to stop and take apart the head every time he wanted more line. He changed line types based on the different color I saw and it still didn’t work. I guess 5-6 times trying was enough. The last time he banged the trimmer head on the ground and each time he hit it a little harder. Eventually the straight shaft bent near the handle or connection joint so he looked any it and slammed it on the ground a few more times until it was really bent. I guess just to make sure.

He didn’t say any bad words, he just walked over to the the garbage and threw it in. He then went in the garage and grabbed some Ryobi attachments, curved head shaft and blade edger attachment and threw them in the garbage too. Then he went inside. I waited a while then checked the garbage can and the attachments both look older and worn. It’s probably not worth trying to repair the trimmer with a new upper shaft and head either.

I’m kind of thinking he’s not a Ryobi fan.
