After your first post I listened to LP’s entire discography. Here is my attempt at ranking their albums out of a max 5.0
(I am clearly in the minority but I think A Thousand Suns is the best Linkin Park album).

3.5 - Hybrid Theory (2000)
4.0 - Meteora (2003)
4.5 - Minutes to Midnight (2007)
5.0 - A Thousand Suns (2010)
4.5 - Living Things (2012)
2.5 - The Hunting Party (2014)
1.5 - One More Light (2017)

From 2007-2012 Linkin Park gave us music that was more poppy, melodic, and chill than their earlier stuff. They made all three of those records with Rick Rubin. Apparently Mike Shinoda really hated that stuff and so The Hunting Party was an attempt at getting back to the Linkin Park of the Hybrid Theory/Meteora era. I listened to that today for the first time. It has 2-3 songs I liked, but most of it was pretty forgettable for me. Their 2017 release was unrecognizable.

Many bands experience this where they change their sound over time or they make different-sounding records from one release to the next. Some of their fans get offended or turned off when the formula changes but a band has to be allowed to evolve and progress and make their art.

Anyway, your mileage may vary but I absolutely love 2007-2012 Linkin Park and I think they had the leeway to do the more chill and experimental stuff they did on those records because of the massive credibility their early catalogue gave them (referring to Hybrid Theory and Meteora).
