My oldest did his eagle project for a charter school in Vegas that had no playground.

He built a Gaga ball court. It seriously was awesome and so nice.

The only thing….we didn’t like where the school wanted us to build it. We tried over and over again to put it in a different location.

About 3 months later we were driving by abs decided to stop by and make sure it was holding up.

As we drove by it was completely unearthed and torn up.

I was furious. My boy, who put a lot of time and effort into the project was absolutely devastated. As a parent, I was eaten up inside as he suffers from depression.

I asked to speak to the principal at a later date….ultimately this was a service for them, but I just wanted to know what’s up.

They stated it was so popular that parents complained about how dirty their kids were when they got home from school. They were in the process of laying artificial turf and placing the court in a better location.

I never knew if this project came to be as I heard the school went under.

We should have planted trees. The look on my struggling sons face, to this day, puts me to tears, when he saw his torn up project.
