the Los Angeles gang life has changed locations since I lived there. All around the campus of USC, there were crips and bloods. You go one foot off campus and you were surrounded by those gangs.

It must be more safe now to go to USC as compared to when I lived there in the 70's and 80's. Now, I read that those gangs are in Pasadena and other locations. Good riddance.

I was familiar with the situation back then as I lived in the South Bay beach cities of Hermosa Beach and Redondo Beach and from all I read about Los Angeles these days, it is a good thing that I left that area.
