them....it's really a story of Mexican gentrification though. They came in....and thought....what's all this noise about Compton and Watts and South Central? Houses look structurally better than where we came from/aren't nothing we haven't seen. 15 minutes from DTLA, weather's good. Let's move in. And then they upkeep better....mow the lawns.....paint the houses.....start kicking gangs out. Still not paradise the average American would seek out by any means..... but a lot better than it was before.
