Partially I agree, but I don't know why this is on our current president
Our national spending has been far exceeding tax revenue for years and it is true today and was true of our previous president.

The part I don't agree on is as it relates to gas prices. This is mostly a supply and demand issue that the Russian oil supply is largely influencing. Rising gas prices is having a major impact on food costs. Food costs are also going up from some international supply chain issues stemming from the war.

Restaurant costs are going up because of food costs and labor costs. You could say the president is influencing labor costs, but mostly it's lack of willing labor driving a shortage in labor supply.

The housing costs is another supply and demand issue. With millennials putting off buying a home, we entered covid in a housing shortage, then exploded the market with a transition our from large cities into single family homes and shot prices up with increased demand.

Mortgage rates increase are on the government, but that's an effort to slow down spending and the rate of inflation, and by in large, are not on the president either.
