compared to Steph. Bron is great as a player. Maybe the most skilled ever when combined with his size. Truly generational. Missing a little of the edge that guys Like MJ and Kobe had as far as willing to do anything to win and being able to seemingly will their team to win. Thats not a huge knock on Bron just what will keep him at #2 all time. The conversation I think the OP is trying to say is nobody is putting Steph up there in that conversation. By nobody I mean most people. I am not saying he is #1 or even #2 or even #3 but he should be in the converstation. I think he's top 5-6 for sure. Durrant is great and was great for GS but to say he's the reason they won is lazy. GS changed their game for Durrant with more iso in clutch moments than they would normally have done and it worked. And thats what they should have done with Durrant. Just saying who knows if GS runs their regular sets in those years. They very well could have won those 2 without KD.
I love to talk basketball and could for hours but bottom line is Steph is perhaps the greatest teammate on some of the greatest teams the league has ever seen. Not some scrub scoring in the teens while KD carries the team. He was in 2017 and '18 and he is now. With the way things have shaken out with injuries and draft picks and trades for GS the last few years I dont think the GS dynasty is finished. They could easily get another and maybe 2 in the next 3 years. Then what, will Wiggins be the guy that carried them? Klay? Draymond?(although I will discuss Draymond's basketball brilliance anytime). Nope, it will be Steph. It has always been Steph. Steph is an all timer and while not saying he is top 3 ever, I believe he belongs in that conversation.
