I got a small raise before my boss quit, and they tried to justify the 8% raise to supervisor by pointing out that I already got a small raise earlier, even though it was completely unrelated to the promotion.

I told them it wasn't enough, and they bumped it up to 12%. Still think it should've been more, which is why I'm casually looking at different opportunities at the moment (among other reasons).
