USC, Washington, Oregon, and ASU have more value than half the B1G schools do. Having matchups between those schools and upper half B1G schools creates more value for all. An Ohio State Washington game generates more money than an Ohio State Maryland game. One less game against a bottom tier B1G school and one more game with an upper tier PAC school would seem to create better ratings and more advertising money from my perspective.
