One long post I've been slowly putting together for months does not an obsession make. I would love players I have known to have picked BYU but they didn't need BYU. I know 6 guys who went to top tier schools and 3 who were drafted all with ties that should have put BYU in the running but they went elsewhere. BYU offered all of them so its not like BYU had no interest. 3 of those guys wanted BYU in the beginning but felt BYU wasn't very excited about them while other schools definitely were. Not sure how any realistic fan would not see that type of situation as less than a recruiting problem. I think most recruits are looking for a team they know they will mesh well with. To that end all positive communication helps secure that belief.
