It was already wounded by the "one-and-done" era. Now, the transfer portal, one-time transfer rule, and NIL all figure into players looking to move out and up whenever possible.

This doesn't mean your team won't have older, legacy style player. But you should expect to see a roster with one or two transfers on it every year with some of those getting starting time.
