It's NOT about brand, prestige, or winning. It's about fans and money.
And I don't believe Utah has that. But IF they get into the Big 12, it will be because the conference thinks they will bring more revenue. That's it. That's the only thing that matters.
It would be hilarious if Utah didn't get picked up anywhere for this reason—basically Ute fans would have to own that their fanbase is insignificant and the reason their team is left out.
