Almost everyone from inside the Big 2 think that they will create their own playoff system that may give access to the Big 12 or may cut off everyone completely.

Teams like Utah create a problem for the latter idea. Can you legally cut off other teams? Would there be too much push back from the teams left out?

So if that really is the case, then snagging up teams like Washington, Colorado, and Miami would actually make perfect sense.

They think if you are in, youre in. And if you are out, you will have a completely different division, so to speak. A pretty triggering thought to be honest.

P5 is not a thing anymore that gets you in. I think that giving the Big 12 access to their playoff is more likely, but its going to be just like how it was before where you have to go undefeated to make up for the competitive difference.
