A wildcard is the ACc going on the offensive in anticipation of the SEc or Big 1G trying to poach ND and other top members. Basically looking at Oregon, WU, and other top pac schools to create its own western pod if the Big1G passes on them. This could be a risk to the Big12 too if the ACc reevaluated teams they’ve previously passed on. Not sure why no one is talking about this. ACc can’t be happy with taking a backseat as a 2nd tier conference.
Although the ACc GoRs caries some weight and potential long wait times to potentially keep poachers out for now, but losing ND would be big. The ACc certainly has 4/5 teams who are eyeing getting out, if they can, at some point.
