Non $$$ team would vote themselves out?

Low value:

Net negative:
Utah

Oregon State

The low and net negative teams aren't going to vote out themselves?
The medium would even be reluctant to.
Every conference has a similar breakdown of teams.
Once you have a seat at the table it is more difficult to get rid of you.

It is MUCH easier to prevent a net negative team in than it is to vote one out.

The 16 team WAC showed this. The MWC teams had to completely break away and form a completely new conference. That isn't an easy thing to do. There are major risks involved.
