The fear among the remaining Pac-10 is that one or two of them are attractive enough to be invited to the Big-10.
If that fear is diminished, they might start to look at their options and hold together.
And, really, I don't see the Pac 10 as all that different from a value standpoint than the B12 without Texas or Oklahoma.
I guess what I am saying is if Oregon and UWash are staying in the P10, I bet they can convince everybody else to stay. Or, from the flip side, I'm skeptical the B12 can offer Pac-10 teams significantly more money. Unequal revenue sharing is something the P10 could do to keep the Top Dogs happy, too.
*To be clear, I am guessing about a lot of things. But as I've noted before, I would be shocked if the P12 disappeared without some real drama and effort to save it.
