Washington and Oregon legislatures could be a major problem
They know that PAC implosion would kill both WSU and OSU. Forcing them as packages makes them undealable though so they need the Pac to survive. And if it survives OU and UW become the big boys for football and for value (with Stanford) which isn’t a terrible position.

If they can leverage to keep money similar, there is little reason for the AZ schools to jump. And there is a real cultural fit issue for CU, WU, Stanford and Cal in the Big12. If they can get the money, I think they stand at 10. They may also grab SDSU for the market even though SDSU is the afterthought of the state (like UCF, Houston, Cinci?) with the thought that being in the conference will raise that program’s status. That would then get scary because to even the numbers they would go hard after a TT.

I think the legislatures are going to cause this whole thing to get pretty dicey.
