It’s not that simple.
CFP is owned and operated by CFP Administration, LLC.
CFP Administration is owned by all 10 FBS conference and managed by them and Notre Dame.
The 20 commissioners and Notre Dame AD form the Management Committee and are responsible for operations. The CFP Executive Director reports to them.
A president from each conference plus Notre Dame’s Chancellor sit on the Board of Managers. They alone have a vote regarding format and revenue distribution.
The votes of the five autonomous conferences count as two votes. The G5 and Notre Dame votes count as one.
A new contract needs only a simple majority of the Board of Managers to agree (6/11) and of the Autonomous Conferences (3/5).
