It is hard to grasp when ESPN ALREADY has the TV rights to UT & OU thru 2025.
ESPN can simply orchestrate any out of conference matchups with UT & OU whether they’re remain in the B12 or move early or late to the SEC. ESPN owns their rights either way.
So again, what’s the benefit for ESPN to pay millions in early exit fees and move them out early when they already control all of their content in both the SEC and B12?
