I think people are mostly laughing about how an employer was screwed.
There is a certain attitude on CB sometimes that employees should be 100% loyal and faithful and true to their employer. An inflated sense of requisite fealty to one's employer.
Yes. You got screwed. Many of us would just call that business. That's likely what it was stocked up to when you fired the other employee. "Well, firing is just part of the business." You got played. End of story. It's a business.
