I remember thinking Sarkisian had to be in the Heisman picture because I think he threw for 500+ yards in the upset.


I preferred that era of college football. Before the SEC took over. Before Alabama became a monster. I liked this era when it was a bit more spread out and you had strong teams at Nebraska, Miami, Florida St, Notre Dame, Washington. I just found it more entertaining back then. The money and greed and power and destruction of rivalries is ducking some of the life out of college football.

But that was my favorite BYU team I ever got to follow. Just was a complete team. Clutch. Could Run Pass Defend and had difference makers at punt/kick return. In the conversation for best BYU team ever.
