Also, if the unit is low on refrigerant, there’s a leak in the system. Don’t pay for a recharge without identifying and fixing the leak.

They can check for refrigerant levels very easily, and normally that’s not the issue. Customers call for that because they don’t understand what the problem is. Providers are happy to charge them for a ‘boost’, but they don’t actually do it.

26 years, same A/C system, have never needed any refrigerant.
