I mean I remember having a conversation with a gentleman on this board last year that was so sure that Conover would beat out both Hall and Romney he thought it was crazy that anyone would think otherwise. I remember a quote similar to "Well Saban offered Conover and Saban knows football so you know he is the best".

I hope Conover becomes an all-time great. But he is much lower rated than either Jake Heaps and Tanner Mangum were and they are not all-time greats. A Nick Saban offer doesn't mean you are all of the sudden the best QB on the planet.

But again I have nothing against Conover. He looked lost last year in very limited playing time, but hopefully he has made a huge jump.
