Do some teachers work long (or normal) hours? Of course. There are lots of great, dedicated teachers. But I believe others mail it in and are gone 15 minutes after their students, doing nothing until they arrive 15 minutes before their students the next day.

And I know good teachers have work to do in the summer. But the total vacation time (including Christmas, fall break, spring break, etc.) is pretty good. Teachers should acknowledge this as a huge perk.
