Excellent documentary and Manti's attitude is inspiring. HOWEVER, there was
one detail they left out: Both Manti and his family embellished the girlfriend story. He repeatedly said at the time that his girlfriend attended Stanford and that he met her in California. His parents echoed this story with details of their romance.
Was he the victim of an elaborate hoax? Yes
Did he suffer long term consequences as a result of that hoax? Yes
Did he and his family and the university (with the help of the media) leverage and embellish the story? Yes
Would he have been a Heisman candidate without the feel good story? Maybe.

Learned a lot of new things in that doc and yes Manti is the man! I will say that I was a little torqued by the way
