I've heard from two different people who know him personally
One said that he "Didn’t like BYU’s response to LGBTQ stuff and his sister is a lesbian + his best friend is Brit Covey."
The other is actually the father-in-law to Devin's twin sister and he didn't agree with this and said "He is close with Covey, the reasons
he left are his business"
Hopefully that helps clear things up.

He seems like a good kid with natural leadership abilities. He wasn't much of a factor for us, or against us last year
