In his mind, yes. He sort of ignored BYU for years, maybe because of the
graduation issue. But once he got his degree, mainly for his Dad and for coach Edwards, and got his number retired, he's a "proud" BYU alum. I've seen him at BYU stuff, and sporting BYU stuff quite often since then. He obviously had a hard time with the BYU/church culture and probably left the Y with some resentment. That's what I was referring to.
