There are plenty of good points in this article. I am 100% pro nuclear and very
skeptical of green energy. I don't neccasarily see EVs as green energy but just a transition away from dated technology.
Batteries are the future, whether solid state lithhuim or maybe even sodium batteries.
Regarding lithium mining, I don't think it is nearly as scary as you make it. Plenty of lithium comes from brines. Certainly I'd think these batteries will be 100% recyclable 10 years from now, and not be as wasteful as they could be otherwise.

Why is that your hang up? I bought an EV for reasons having NOTHING to do with the environment. They are just way better
