Math Question: using only the following numbers and symbols, write an expression

That is equal to 8. You can only use each number and symbol once and can’t use any other numbers or symbols (the commas below are used to separate the numbers and expressions and are not part of the problem):

1, 2, 3, exponent of 3, +, -, ()

Anybody have the answer?

Yes. Meaning you have to have either 1^3 or 2^3 or 3^3

Right. So 27, then take away the 2 (i.e. make 27 into 7) then add 1. Equals 8. Easy.
