by bringing in a bunch of transfers and letting go a bunch of others go. Ideally they would do that with the D-line. It's bad now and will only get worse in the Big 12. We've seen that fielding the Dline with a bunch of walk-ons might work for a game or two against P5 teams but in the end you need depth and talent at that position especially since they rotate so much. Utah high schools have good D-line recruits but they all go to Utah and/or don't go to BYU (if they do its more the exception than the rule). My one gripe with Kalani is that I thought he would he would turn the D-line into a strength and recruit a better. I'm not sure its better than when Bronco was here. Seemed like we always had some good talent under Bronco - Manumaleuna, Fuga, Tuiloma, B. Kaufusi, Tialavea, So'oto, Ansah, Fangupo. Scheme is probably a big factor and I worry unless they make a change with Tuiaki no quality recruits are going to buy that we aren't just going to run a 3-4 most of the time.
